Nana-Kusa-Gayu (Rice Porridge with 7 herbs)
Traditionally, January 7th is the day Japanese people eat this dish. After eating Osechi Ryouri (New Year Dish) and all the holiday indulgence, the Japanese eat a healthy light rice porridge on this day. The rice porridge includes seven kinds of herbs. This meal is the spot and helps our tired stomach heal and recover.🥰
Since it’s difficult to find Japanese herbs, here is the Asheville version of 7th herbs.🤔
Endive, Mustard Green, Watercress, Arugula, Turnip, Radish, Daikon Radish
This dish is special for this week!
Available to serve by Jan 13th.
